MASTER CLASS IN DNA ANALYSIS

This course is designed for undergraduate students, early career researchers and established scientists who are interested in incorporating molecular biology into their research. This 3-day course will cover:

 

  • Health and Safety regulations

  • Review of Genetics, Scope and Impact of recombinant DNA technology

  • DNA structure, genetic code, and codon translation

  • DNA Isolation

  • Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR)

  • Agarose Gel electrophoresis

  • Restriction Analysis

  • Applications of DNA technology in agricltural/medical/enviromental research
