BREAC's Scientific Advisor Nominated as Endocrine Ambassador to the House of Commons

BREAC's Board of Trustees' Secretary and Chief Scientific Advisor, Dr. Opeolu Ojo was recently nominated as Endocrine Ambassador to the UK Parliament by The Society for Endocrinology. The meeting tagged Voice of the Future 2013 was held on Wednesday 20 March 2013 and featured a meeting with the UK Minister of Science and University, David Willetts MP, the Shadow Minister for Higher Education and Science, Shabana Mahmood MP (Labour); as well as the outgoing Government Chief Scientific Advisor, Sir John Beddington. Equipment Donation by North Design Works Ltd, Belfast

North Design Works Ltd, an innovative mechanical engineering and product design company based in Belfast, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom has donated a -45oC Ultra low chest freezer to BREAC as part of its support to the development of science and technology in Africa. While receiving the donation on behalf of BREAC, Dr. Opeolu Ojo thanked Engr Jonny Patty (the Managing Director of the company) for his interest in the activities of BREAC and reassured that the equipment will be put to good use in promoting science teaching and learning in Nigeria.
